We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!
I am sure you have noticed the sharp increases in the cost of basics like food and gas. SOS's Road to Home event will raise funds to help families who are unable to afford housing and food due to inflation, the ongoing financial impact of the pandemic, and the reduction of pandemic-related assistance benefits.
I hope you will consider sponsoring Road To Home this year. You can join other community leaders in making a difference. Road to Home is our major fundraising event for the year. With your generous sponsorship, SOS Community Services will be able to serve hungry and homeless families in Washtenaw County.
Kieron Hales, co-owner of Zingerman’s Cornman Farms, will chair Road to Home 2023. The event will take place on Wednesday, September 27th, at Zingerman’s Cornman Farms from 6 to 9 pm. You will enjoy delicious food and drinks, a silent and live auction, and networking with other community leaders who share your commitment to ending homelessness and hunger locally.
Your support provides these fundamental services:
- Local food pantry, currently serving over 220 households a week with a continual growing need.
- Five family shelter units for immediate temporary housing until permanent housing can be secured.
- Eviction prevention program helps vulnerable families find the resources necessary to remain in their homes.
- Rapid Rehousing Program helps families quickly exit homelessness and return to permanent housing.
- Parents as Teachers build strong communities, thriving families, and children who are healthy, safe, learning, and ready for school.
Thank you for considering a sponsorship gift to SOS Road to Home to prevent and end homelessness and hunger. The enclosed packet will tell you more about the benefits of sponsorship and the impact of your gift. If you have any questions, please contact me at barbarac@soscs.org or 734-961-1206.
